Create an account and order licenses

Enter your e-mail and choose a password on the start page. The password must be at least 8 characters long and consist of at least one capital letter and one digit. A confirmation link is automatically sent to the registered e-mail. Click the link to activate your account.

Creating an account is completely free of charge and the account is active for 24 hours.

Go to “Order” in the menu at the top of the page to order licenses. Choose number of licenses (including you own) on the slider and click “Buy this subscription”. Enter your information in the pop-up form. When your purchase is confirmed your account be valid for 40 days. An invoice is sent within 5 working days. When your payment is registered, your account will be valid for one year, starting from the day of you order.

The account from which the order is placed will serve as administrator for the ordered licenses.

Assign licenses to your users

Ask your users to create their own personal accounts (e-mail and password) according to the instructions above and confirm by clicking the link sent via e-mail.

Click ”assign” for every license and enter each user’s e-mail. Every assigned user will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. They must click the link in order for their account to be activated beyond the original 40 days.

Create and manage a group

As administrator, you may create a group of users and assign them an examination. You can create as many groups as is needed, and each user may belong to more than one group.

Click ”Create group” and choose a group name.

Click ”Edit” in order to change the name, or ”Delete” to remove the group.

Click Manage > Send invite to add your users to the group. Enter each user’s e-mail and click “Send”. Every user will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. They must click the link in order for their account to be added to the group.

Create an examination

When you have created a group, you may create an examination. Several examinations can be created for the same group.

Go to the calibration view and enter you preferred parameters (number of slides, cover range, etc.) Make sure to click the start-button on the Settings tab in order for your preferences to be saved.

NOTE! Entering a specified cover range means that approximately 80 % of the generated images will fall within the specified range. The fewer images in your session, the higher probability that some of them will fall outside the designated range.

Area (Aerial or Field) and duration is specified when creating an exam. All other parameters will be set according to your latest settings in the calibration view.

Your group members may now choose Examination in the area tab when starting their calibration session. When an examination is completed, an e-mail with the entered values and the correct answers will be sent to administrator e-mail. Each examination may only be completed once per registered account.

Choose your area of calibration – Aerial or Field, and the number of images in your session. Choose to perform an examination (if one is created for your group).

Settings

Choose your settings to best accommodate your calibration needs. Available settings depend on the chosen area. Click ”start” to begin calibration.

Calibrate

Images are generated according to your specified settings.

Enter your estimation in the text box. Click “show right answer” if you would like to view the correct answer immediately. Continue to the next image by clicking the “forward” arrow. You may view the previous image by clicking the “back” arrow, but the estimated value cannot be altered.

In Aerial mode, shadows can be toggled during calibration.

In Field mode, the background image can be toggled during calibration.

When the last image is viewed, the forward arrow turns red. Click to complete the session and view the results screen.

Results

Your results over time are shown in a bar diagram. Bars are added as you estimate more images.

Miniatures of the estimated images in the last session are shown with both estimated and correct values.

Print as PDF in your web browser if you would like to save the miniature images.
